My professional floral journey began at Mississippi State University when I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree of Retail Floristry Management in 1999. I then took a job working in a local flower shop where I learned all the ins and outs of what makes a shop function. Jason and I married the same year I graduated, and two years later we had Owen. After a while, I got a job running the floral department at Foodmax, a local grocery store where I worked for a few more years before we purchased a pre-existing balloon shop called ChiChi’s Balloons. Micah was only six weeks old when we opened the doors to Flowers by the Bunch, and we have never looked back since. I will tell you, I truly love what I do. I wake up every morning excited about what the day is going to bring, all the new things I will get to create, and the people I will get to meet. The best thing about it is that no two days are ever the same. And along with all the novelty, I am so excited about diving into this new adventure of blogging and teaching you all about expressing yourself and making something beautiful through arranging flowers.
